With permission of the former Broker Owner, deal data can be copied to an account with a new firm. To process this request, a Letter of Direction signed by the former Broker Owner would need to be submitted to customercare@newton.ca. The template for the Letter of Direction can be found at the end of this article.
Important to Note: the following items will not be transferred
- Deals under Historical or Parked
- eSign transactions and linked data
- Credits for add-on services
- CRM campaigns, templates, audience lists, set up and data
- Set up configured under Profile and Settings
A data copy is a one-time procedure which captures deals as they are. Any updates made to deals in the old account or new deals entered, after the copy has been initiated, will not reflect in the receiving account. The transfer will copy deals on which the account is set to Agent on file.
Deals will be allocated a new deal number with the recipient account’s firm code and are searchable by client name.
